Magic Tricks Revealed

Magic Tricks Revealed

The other day I was out walking through the park, when some very strange things happened to me.  I heard some people talking in some strange voices, but I couldn't quite pinpoint their source. I kept spinning my head around, but as if by magic, the voices suddenly stopped, and the nobody seemed to be talking. I distinctly heard some voice say "magic tricks revealed," if that makes any sense at all. But every time I tried to place it, the voice mysteriously vanished.

Finally I decided to take a break. Maybe all this walking was giving me some strange hallucinations or something. I wasn't sure what to make of it, until this older gentleman approached me.

"Did they ask you if you wanted to see magic tricks revealed?"

I was shocked, both because he knew the exact words that were said, and that he knew that it was a plural hallucination, and not a singular one.

I nodded my head, giving in to the lunacy that was slowly overtaking my brief hold on reality.

"It's not a hallucination," he replied, to my thoughts.
"You just happened to be caught in a temporal vortex that happens from time to time."
"Who are you?" I asked.

He explained that he is the guy that explains all this to all the people that are involved in this kind of thing. They used to just leave people alone that had mistakenly overheard the whisperings of crossed dimensions, but they started to clue  people in when they suspected that a rise in admittance to insane asylums might be connected to the continued temporal disturbances. Who am I to argue with logic like that?

I asked him what I was supposed to do about it, but he just told me not to worry, and that things like this happened from time to time. That I was some sort of "receiver" whatever that means. That I would periodically hear these strange voices from time to time, and that I shouldn't worry.

Should I forget this conversation, and find myself checking into a lunatic asylum, to make sure and tell them not to install any software in my brain, as that might disrupt the continuum even further. Great, so not only am I going to here voices in the future, but I am also in danger of forgetting them and having some chip implanted into my brain.

Maybe I should have stayed home and watched TV instead.

More later.
